THE ZEEWALL®
PRODUCT:
WHAT IS ZEEWALL®?
THE NAME
The ZEEWALL name comes from the special "Z" shaped sheet piling
made of polyvinylchloride (PVC). It is 18 inches wide and is a
full one quarter inch thick and has a section modulus of 34.52.
Zeewall's patented design connects two sections by interlocking
the ball and socket forming a continuous wall.
SHAPE AND STRENGTH
Section modulus" is an engineering term that denotes the strength per square inch of a given shape with pressure applied to it and is six times stronger than a comparable 2 inch wooden wall. ZEEWALL is thick enough to facilitate installation and strong enough to be installed with or without additional supporting structures.

ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE
According to researchers, the needs of the marine industry
alone will consume over 6 billion board feet of treated lumber each year. ZEEWALL does not emit poisons into the waterways and will not harm marine
life unlike treated materials such as celcure treated lumber (CCA)
which is composed of as much as 40% arsenic which leaches into
the marine environment. Please read the article below to discover
experts findings when studying the properties of vinyl vs other
products.
Research Shows Vinyl a Minor Contributor
to Dioxin Emissions -1998 report
Results of the first phase of the vinyl industry's voluntary dioxin characterization program - which were recently submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in its dioxin reassessment - reconfirm vinyl's minimal contribution to dioxin emissions. Sampling data from various points in the vinyl production process show emissions of about 24 grams of dioxin to air, land and water, or less than 1 percent of the 3,000 grams that the EPA estimates are emitted annually by sources throughout the country.
From Vinyl Research -Science and Technology:
There are few synthetic materials which have been researched as
thoroughly as vinyl. Its effect on health and the environment
has been investigated at every stage from manufacture through
use and on to final disposal of the products made from vinyl.
Most commodity plastics have carbon and hydrogen as their main
component elements. Vinyl differs by containing chlorine (about
57 percent by weight) as well as carbon and hydrogen.
The presence of chlorine in the molecule makes vinyl particularly
versatile because it makes it compatible with a wide range of
other materials. The chlorine content also helps to make vinyl,
or PVC, flame retardant.
LONG LASTING
ZEEWALL is a 100% virgin material with UV inhibitors added in order to
insure it's longevity. It's so durable that it comes with a manufacturer's
limited lifetime warranty.
The UV inhibitor also keeps the wall cooler than other materials.
